Create small sculptures in this workshop based on virgin wool manipulated and afeltrated, in which we find an exceptional sculptural material through the technique of afeltrado. Its sizes, shapes, densities and surfaces are only subject to the expression and artistic concept of its creator.
There are no limits apart from the understanding of the material, studies of the form to create, knowledge in techniques of the afeltrado and the physical work that demands us.

Textile sculpture by Beatriz Schaaf 

 Create small sculptures in this workshop starting from the virgin wool manipulated and felted, in which we find an exceptional sculptural material through the technique of the felted one. Their sizes, shapes, densities and surfaces are only subject to the artistic expression and concept of their creator. 

There are no limits apart from the understanding of the material, studies of the form to be created, knowledge of felted techniques and the physical work it demands of us.

Biography: Beatriz Schaaf, born in Montevideo (Uruguay), trained as a weaver and completed her studies in textile design with a diploma. As an award-winning designer, she worked for industry and designed carpet collections in 1991.

Since 1994, the focus of her work has steadily shifted away from contract work for industry and towards free and artistic work creating original works with great artistic personality.
